Whilst brand new to the market this property holds close tails of lavish private celebrations throughout the years. An opportunity now offered to couples outside of this circle.
Ivybrook Farm is a 4th generation property owned by the Hunt family. Originally a 500acre sheep and grain property, it’s family traditions now run alongside the production of wine. This heritage is echoed through the many beautiful limestone buildings on property, most still used today for farming purposes.
Thankfully though, under the passion and guidance of owners Cheryl and David Hunt, the old stone barn has now been carefully restored into a cellar door and a beautiful space for events.
The stone building supported by pillars and beams made from old gums over one hundred years ago has a ‘highly sought after’ high ceiling and rustic charm that opens out onto a useable veranda and turfed lawn lit by semi-permanent festoon lights. Internally the Barn can accommodate up to 65 seated or 100 in cocktail with plenty of extra space for marquees if this is what your heart is set on.
Step away from the rolling hills and limestone buildings of Ivybrook Farm and you are only minutes from the spectacular beaches and cliffs of Maslin Beach and Port Willunga. A coastline so beautiful it has featured in major international movies. Certainly something to consider if you can’t shake the thought of a beach ceremony. Ceremony space is however offered on property, under the shade of an old gum, towering pine or with the backing of an almond grove.
Ten minutes from McLaren Vale and set on a coastline full of beautiful holiday houses accommodation options are easy to come by. Ivybrook also has it’s own self contained bed and breakfast on property, sleeping up to 4 guests this is a great option for the bridal party the night prior and an easy space to retire to with a full heart at the end of the day.
Having carefully acquired a huge stock of vintage furniture Ivybrook open their storage area to you to select and style from their beautiful pieces which include mismatched timber chairs, velvet couches, timber trestles, hardwood tables, wine barrels and many more décor pieces.
Catering is offered through preferred caters who customize seated, canapé and casual menus to taste and can be paired with Ivybrook’s very reasonable beverage packages.
This property is a hidden gem, but the problem with gems, is that they can’t stay hidden for long and we have a feeling once word gets out about this beautiful property they’ll have couples falling over to get their preferred dates ❤️
