A Sunday road trip through Myponga led Christie and Ash to stumble upon the rustic Smiling Samoyed Brewery in Myponga on the Fleurieu Peninsula. While their main intentions for the visit were to grab a bite to eat for lunch, they instantly fell in love with the location and decided it had to be the venue for their wedding!
A recent addition to the Smiling Samoyed offering is the ability to hold ceremonies on the shores of the Myponga Reservoir (surely a South Australian first!), and C&A were honoured to be one of the first couples to tie the knot in this beautiful waterside location. They shared their day with 100 of their nearest and dearest with a laid-back cocktail style reception at the brewery’s funky on-site restaurant, emphasising that the food at the Smiling Samoyed was an absolute winner – did we mention the to-die-for wood fired pizzas?
Both Christie and Ash were over the moon about the venue and location, as it is truly one of a kind. And while the couple didn’t go out of their way to plan any special themes or styling, they were impressed by every detail the venue provided. Christie comments amusingly “we just brought the laughter”.
