Hola, Melissa here, the Founder of VENYU. As some of you may already know, in January this year I married my man. I’ve been holding onto these shots, indulging in their beauty, for quite a while now and thought it was finally time I shared with you some more about our day, which was, in fact, a whole weekend (more on that later though).

A Wedding Planner’s Wedding, wow that’s going to be extra!

Well, actually it wasn’t, we kept things reasonably simple, cutting traditions we didn’t feel aligned with our modern beliefs, kept the numbers right down and as cliche as it sounds, we created a day that was authentically us. We couldn’t have been happier with how it all played out and I think it’s written on our faces throughout these pictures.

I could write a book about pretty much any of my couples wedding let alone mine so I’m going to hold back for the moment and instead just share a few highlights in later days over social media. Keep an eye out for cheeky flowergirl stories, the big wedding surprise that had everyone guessing and some very clever choices that literally saved us hundreds of dollars.
