The up and coming quirky hipster township of Old Aldinga has a secret… A secret garden that is made for entertaining. Exclusively through VENYU, Aldinga Secret Garden is now available for weddings, engagement parties, and celebrations.

Twenty years of love has gone into this garden and even just approaching the side gate you can feel it. The significant trees provide a year-round protective canopy over the garden shading it from the heat whilst the buildings ensure that wind doesn’t even sneak into this converted space.

The layered garden provides many different intimate spaces for guests to mingle and for various seating options. The covered verandah of the old stone cottage has a beautiful view of the garden and is the perfect backdrop for a feasting station or rustic photo booth, with space for additional mixed seating.

Within the garden, the raised timber pergola is an option for small ceremonies but also lends itself well to being set as a stage for a band or DJ with it overlooking a small circular paved area – a logical dance floor space that can be easily lit with strings of festoon lights.

The pièce de résistance in our eyes is The Laneway’s trained grapevine, a living arbour that provides a beautiful archway for a ceremony or could be incorporated as a feature over your bar area. The wide gravelled laneway is wrapped by large hedges and seasonal foliage and the length of this space offers so many options for long tables, mixed bar/dance floor areas and of course large lighting canopies.

If you need a wet weather backup, The Chapel is an inviting and rustic space ideal for ceremonies or as an inclement weather option and it is complete with up-cycled vintage windows from a 1970’s church.

Venue hire of the garden is extremely affordable and allows you complete flexibility over catering and beverage selections and with great rear property access lends itself well to fun alternative food truck selections.
