About

A charming and rustic dry hire property nestled between farmland and vineyards, Bremer Farm is a wedding venue catering for up to 500 guests.

Bremer Farm is a 100 acre farming property located on the border of the Fleurieu Peninsula and Adelaide Hills, between Callington and Strathalbyn. It offers couples an ideal country location only 45 minutes from Adelaide’s CBD, but is a complete world away from the city.

The venue space is like an oasis hidden in the middle of this working farm. Framed by pink peppercorn trees and stone fence reminiscent of an English farm, the level gardens feature sweeping lawns which offer the perfect space for a marquee, lawn games, or dining under the stars.

There are a few ceremony locations on offer for you and your guests including the lawns with permanent arbour constructed from reclaimed railway sleepers, to which you could drape a stunning macramé artwork or floral arrangement. Another location is in front of the old stone barn, which is a beautiful backdrop for your ceremony all on its own.

Bremer Farm is an outdoor venue, however there are plenty of undercover options available including an outdoor bar with stone and timber walls that can seat 60 guests for drinks, or 50 for an afternoon tea.

Other spaces include a vintage open-sided shed with paved flooring and hanging chandeliers that can accommodate up to 90 guests seated in a formal long table style, or is an ideal location for a chillout zone or as a dancefloor area – set up your band or DJ here with coloured lighting bouncing off the corrugated walls. And the show stopper? The recently restored circa 1840’s stone barn seating up to 70 guests, providing a rustic European aesthetic with a sense of understated elegance.

Alternatively, you can have an open-air wedfest style celebration for up to 500 guests across the entire space – think lots of hay bales and mis-matched furniture.

Post-ceremony photo opportunities at Bremer Farm are endless, with many original stone buildings and ruins dotted around the property, bordered by their grain and canola crop fields.

Available as a dry hire venue, Bremer Farm is a flexible event space giving couples total freedom to bring in their chosen suppliers, including furniture and styling, lighting, beverages and catering. Set up a large clear marquee, light up the open spaces with an arrangement of festoon lights over long tables, or buck the trend with a cute daytime wedding picnic; the choice is literally yours. Not only that, you will have exclusive access to the venue for a full 24 hours to ensure you are able to create the wedding of your dreams.

With a selection of inclusions such as fridges, gas stove and freezer for your caterer, along with permanent lighting including festoon lights stretching out from the barn, this dry hire venue offers great value to the DIY couple who are looking for somewhere totally unique.

Bremer Farm has parking capacity for 100 vehicles (including room for buses), and there are plenty of accommodation options in nearby Strathalbyn or Mt Barker.

This unforgettable venue also comes with the promise of warm country hospitality, which we can’t deny is a feature unto itself.

Bremer Farm is a wedding venue with that rustic look so many couples desire, but offers much much more including a sense of peace and intimacy that you can’t get everywhere and, as the saying goes, money can’t buy.
