Located at Bookpurnong, this historic venue is situated on a lagoon known as Ajax Achilles, on the outskirts of Berri. The property not only offers space for up to 120 guests to witness your nuptials but also beautifully updated accommodation in the homestead for up to 6 people.

The River Block, said to have been the location of the original Bookpurnong Post Office, was purchased by owners Kiara & Jamie in 2018, and they have since lovingly renovated the space, harmoniously combining the new contemporary updates with the charming historic features of the original building.

As a complete dry hire venue, The River Block offers you a totally blank canvas in order to create your dream wedding. Have a favourite drop? BYO drinks or bring along your choice of beverage van. For your evening feed, local caterers and food trucks are all welcomed at The River Block.

Hire a marquee or double tipi and deck out the gardens with rugs, cushions and luscious lounge furniture for a heavenly chilled boho vibe. Or for the ultimate festi-feel, create a huge open-air dance floor complete with light display and cold (flameless) fireworks. The options are literally limited by your imagination.

At the end of the day when the dancing has your feet needing relief, retreat to the gorgeous homestead just a hop skip and jump away. In such a secluded serene location, we can almost guarantee a good nights sleep.
