Established by Ruth and Alan Irving in 1979, Al Ru Farm has blossomed over the decades into a truly breathtaking garden, with 10 acres of magical spaces for both wedding ceremonies and receptions. Located just 40 minutes from the CBD and nestled between the Adelaide Hills and the Barossa Valley, Al Ru Farm offers the charm of a country estate in an ideal location.

Al Ru Farm can cater for 35 through to 350 guests and has multiple options for your wedding formalities such as the homestead lawns and the white wedding garden. The venue’s other beautiful landscaping includes a lily pond complete with open pergola, a huge white rose and wisteria archway, and their iconic glass greenhouse.

Planning a winter wedding? No problems. Al Ru has undercover function spaces too, including the open-sided Hayshed and The Barn, which is a completely enclosed indoor space. Beautiful in its own right, The Barn features hand-rendered walls adorned with vintage gilt mirrors, and polished concrete floors. Although this space would look stunning with florals or additional lighting strung across the ceiling (they offer the option of chandeliers), very little is needed to make this space shine.

Along with their great facilities and inclusions, weddings are also fully-catered for, plus you have the choice of bringing your own beverages or drinks supplier. And for the cherry on top of your ice cream, they are also flexible with supplementing their dessert options perhaps with a gelati or espresso cart.

Oh and did we mention that Al Ru Farm also has luxurious accommodation? They sleep up to 15 guests across 3 separate suites all with their own individual theme. How fun!
