Mt Beare Station

This private facility has never before been made available to the public and has now opened its gates for weddings.

From the moment you rumble in over the grid you can almost feel the history and decades of hard work that have shaped Mt Beare Station into what it is today, a character-filled property.

This authentic working sheep station is 50 minutes from the CBD or a short drive from McLaren Vale. Set on 500 acres of private and secluded valley with nothing but country views as far as the eye can see, this is a venue that has space in spades.

You are welcome to use any of the multiple ceremony locations on offer, but here’s our hot tip: our favourite is lakeside – a large lawned area with a beautiful willow tree and the water as the backdrop.

No need for marquees here –  their enormous iconic Australian wool shed with 100 years of character can seat up to 150 people for a sit-down reception. The shed has been lovingly refurbished with high quality finishes, luxury touches and lots of little details including beautiful lighting fixtures and a quality sound system. With a massive 10x10m dance floor centred within the huge wool shed, this space will literally be the heart of the party. There is also a staging area for a live band, string quartet or DJ adjacent to the dance floor.

Your guests can spill out into the open alfresco terrace with its fairy light canopy and beautiful views overlooking the water and valley beyond. For another cosier outdoor option, perhaps for a winter wedding, there is a sheltered farriers stable with large fire pit to keep hands and hearts warm.

Mt Beare Station is a fully flexible venue allowing you to bring in your own beverages and catering. Full kitchen facilities are located within the Blacksmith shop; even the caterers get to have fun! Included in the hire is everything you need to style an amazing wedding.

Mt Beare Station offers abundant space for bus and car parking. In fact, there’s so much room you can easily arrive via helicopter from your McLaren Vale b&b.
