Set on the gum studded creek line just a couple of minutes from Willunga, Werner Vineyards is not your typical winery, there is not a cellar door or hoards of people but instead there is calm, space and a few rows of Shiraz with a beautiful view.

This loved family plot of land is now available for weddings and we’re pretty sure you’re going to love it once you see beyond the gates and through their beautiful spaces.

Slightly elevated the Old Shiraz Block is perfect for receptions. The level clearing overlooks the creek gums to the left and back down the hills towards the beach on the right and is a space that can be made your own with giant tipis, a clear marquee or an open-air dinner ordained with festoon lights and stars. Water Lilly Flat is a place begging for a champagne toast and a grazing table. It’s shaded and quiet, and coincidentally is also the halfway point between the ceremony and reception spaces.

But the real pièce de résistance is their ceremony space. The appropriately named Gum Studded Amphitheatre is an incredible space and we don’t say that lightly. It’s a little like the secret garden you imagined as a kid you follow a short well-trodden path and arrive in a cocoon of gums that protect you from wind, heat, ground you and give you goosebumps before words have even begun. It’s intimate, spacious and very very special space but it’s something you really need to see to understand.

Werner Vineyards is a dry-hire facility allowing you complete flexibility. Select and purchase your preference of delicious Fleurieu Peninsula or Adelaide Hills wines and craft beers and the Werner team will take care of the bar service. Catering for the evening can be as gourmet or carefree as you like, working with their preferred supplier for a plated meal or rolling in your preference of food trucks. Helping you with your plans is Kristen Werner the property owner who conveniently is an event manager and stylist ready to support you through the process of planning.
