Woodburn Homestead has the capacity to be whatever (or wherever) you want it to be, and in this instance they chose Europe, Italy to be precise. And what a joyful little Italian escape it was ~ the food, the wine and all the love!
Photographer Anna from Luna & Sol Photography approached the team at Woodburn Homestead as she fell in love with the venue and wanted to collaborate on a shoot. It wasn’t hard for Bianca of Fig Tree Weddings & Events to dream up a beautiful concept for the shoot, which involved creating a European summer wonderland, utilising the stonework and landscape that Woodburn Homestead has to offer. Titled Ciao Woodburn – A European Summer, they wanted an editorial vibe that would pay homage to a typical Italian summer and showcase the European flair we all love!
Involved in the shoot was the gorgeous white horse from Carriage of Occasion, ‘Nibbles’. He was the perfect model and happily cooperated with the help of a silver platter full of carrots that tantalised his taste buds (and work ethic!).
Fun Fact – Nibbles and Tabby were the two gorgeous white horses who pulled the carriage which delivered Bianca as the bride for her wedding to Mike back in January 2023. “It was such a joyous experience having Nibbles a part of this shoot as he was an integral part of my own wedding day. Now he has sadly passed, and so it was even more precious to have had him a part of the Ciao Woodburn shoot day.”
The couple models are a real life married couple who also wed at Woodburn Homestead in 2023. “Jenna Bown Jeff Tabe are a gorgeous couple who we have built a great relationship with and are now a part of our Woodburn family, having attended other events such as High Tea and History as part of last years History month.” They are both now residing in Texas, USA due to Jeff’s work in the airforce, but the team at Woodburn are looking forward to having them both back to stay when they return after their 2 year post.
Individual model Tegan Matijevic is a friend of Woodburn, total fashionista and lover of all things editorial who absolutely rocked her looks on the day and brought some edge to the shoot.
