With being event planners, we are often tasked with creating a buzzing atmosphere that guests will never forget.
You’d be amazed by how many people are on the hunt for fun wedding ideas! So, we put our heads together to create a top 10 list of fun wedding ideas (along with venues that allow for a unique idea) that will have your guests entertained well into the evening!

Surprise your guests and travel in ultimate style by arriving at your venue in a helicopter, horse and cart, tractor or even a prime mover! Just make sure you check with your venue when booking your transport supplier as they will likely have special conditions for this.

With so many couples now choosing venues that can host both ceremony and reception, and many of our venues have beautiful open spaces for your guests to enjoy some fun in the sun before the reception starts, why not incorporate some lawn games to kick off the celebrations? Popular options include Croquet, Corn Hole, Giant Jenga, Giant Chess, Noughts and Crosses. We have even seen custom-made Guess Who with faces of the bridal party!

During height of COVID, the fairy god planner in us came up with creative ways of keeping entertained without dancing, so we put together a list of games and ideas that you and your guests can enjoy, regardless of the rules! So even if your venue doesn’t have the right space for lawn games, we guarantee some of these games will tick the fun box!
6. High Tea
If a seated evening reception isn’t your cup of tea (see what we did there?), but a picnic is way too relaxed, why not get creative and treat your guests to an experience they may never have had? A traditional High Tea is something that your guests will truly enjoy, from dainty porcelain cups to the fun bite-sized canapes that leave you surprisingly full, a High Tea is well worth considering!

Add some whimsy and boho fun to your day with giant tipis instead of a traditional marquee, or treat your besties with a glamping tent bridal retreat. Why do a traditional seated reception when there are so many other great options available? Grazing tables have certainly gained popularity, as have food trucks for a casual cocktail style reception. Adelaide has some fantastic food truck options to cater for everyone from pizzas, burgers, paella, and yes – even vegan yiros! And of course, don’t forget the many dessert options too.
Another style gaining traction are daytime (or summers eve) picnics, for a relaxed family wedfest vibe your guests won’t forget!
10. Bring In The Animals
Some of our most popular country venues are home to families of animals, such as horses, donkeys, alpacas, ducks and more! They are the perfect (sometimes cheeky) guests to bring along for those fun couples portraits!
Speaking of animals, let’s also not be forgetting our own furbabes! For many people, pets are part of their family, so why leave them out on the most important day of your lives? Once upon a time it was difficult to find a venue that allowed your pets to be included in your wedding, however now it is more and more common for venues to not only be open to the idea, but welcome them with open arms.
