Real Wedding – Jemima and Kyle, Brin Farm

The sweetest couple, and the most delicious of details!

Childhood sweethearts Jem and Kyle wanted a wedding that was fitting of them and didn’t want to be stuck in the predicable zone of “must haves” so like many, choosing the perfect wedding venue took quite some research.

“I didn’t want a traditional venue and needed the venue to be willing for me to have some creative freedom. On our first visit to Brin Farm I was so happy to find that they were relaxed and willing to work with my ideas. I felt like I didn’t have to pretend I was someone who I am not, which gave me an incredible sense of peace. The fact that the venue is absolutely stunning may have also made an impression.”

Express her creativity Jem did! This talented and determined lady did all the styling herself, even going so far as visiting each supplier to ensure their stock was right for them and would achieve the look they wanted. That look was elegant yet laid back, and was set around crisp whites, soft mushroom grey linens and fresh green foliage to contrast. It was a selection chosen to ensure the look was timeless, with little modern twists here and there.

Jem’s dress was picked with the same timeless elegance in mind, and although she initially thought it was an A-line cut she was after, having seen the train on this Madison James collection from the Adelaide Bridal Emporium she was sold. Jem finished off her look with a custom overskirt by Alirah Signature (Oh beaut boutique) a couture designer from her hometown.

Now for the delicious twist…

This wedding was a seafood lovers paradise! Lobster canapés, fresh shucked oysters, and scores of whiting and squid paella. The best part though, Kyle’s Dad David and some enthusiastic friends caught about 20kg of Southern Rock Lobster, 60 whiting, and sourced through friends 25 dozen oysters for the caterers to use on the day. Is that dedication or what? Aww thanks Dad!

Here are a few of the gorgeous pics of their day artfully captured by Kylie South Photography.

Secret Horse Stud, Brin Farm, Wedding Venue located just around the corner from Clarendon, Kuitpo Forest and Kangarilla offering flexible spaces, BYO alcohol, catering and suppliers.

“Looking back, we could not have imagined just how lucky we were to be able to have our wedding at this stunning property! David and Charyse were the most amazing hosts and I always felt better knowing VENYU were there to support us in our planning.”

Congratulations Jem and Kyle, we wish you a beautiful life of happiness!
