Paracombe Premium Perry

Paracombe Premium Perry is a 50 acre property just a 10 minute drive from Tea Tree Gully in the Adelaide Hills.  After years of producing quality juices, ciders and perry, owners Damian and Amelia decided to open their Shed Door for guests to experience their passion. It’s grown to a destination in its own right and they’re well known by the lucky few for offering a great weekend atmosphere and delicious unpretentious food.

The enclosable Cellar Door area offers a rustic country feel and it’s viewing area extends over the orchard and looks out over the Mount Lofty Ranges. It’s a space ideal for your reception of up to 50 guests seated or 70 cocktail style. If that’s not quite large enough for you directly behind it the large Pear Shed with its rustic warehouse theme is also an option and can accommodate up to 100 guests comfortably. Neither the Pear Shed or the Cellar Door are suited to those looking for the polished and controlled winery vibe but are instead ideal for the couple that wants something relaxed, fun and unique without the white tape and chiffon.

Ceremonies are offered in or on the edge of the orchard, something that is particularly appealing for the lucky couples who have September in mind as the trees will likely all be in blossom. Alternatively, take a short stroll through to the northern end of the property and you’ll find a beautiful rise, littered in pines with a beautiful western view.

This is a full service venue with delicious tap ciders and juices and a range of South Australia and Adelaide Hills wines and beers available in a package or on consumption. Catering options centre around their perfected recipe for artisan wood oven sourdough pizzas and for those that love the smoker, slow cooked smoke house ribs and brisket accompanied by a home made slaw. I told you it was anything but ordinary! The Paracombe Premium Perry team are also more than happy to customise a menu to suit.
